My Philosophy

Having performed thousands of facial procedures over the last 14 years, I’ve had the chance to meet excellent surgeons and clinicians from all over the world. With advanced fellowship training, I’ve had the privilege to meet children and adults with complex facial concerns ranging from functional to cosmetic and everything in between.

My goal is always to address my patients’ concerns with both a scientific and artistic approach, always striving for consistency, predictability and a focus on the best possible outcome, keeping in mind not just safety but the most up-to-date procedures, materials and techniques.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my cosmetic facial surgery page and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Meet Dr. Neil Agnihotri

Neil Agnihotri D.M.D., M.D., F.A.C.S., has two passions – a lifelong love of learning and his family.

Dr. Agnihotri first completed his bachelors in engineering at NJIT. From there attended New Jersey Dental School, where his interest in cosmetic, oral and  maxillofacial surgery began. He then matched into the UMDNJ 6-year integrated surgical residency, through which he obtained his doctorate of medicine and internship in general surgery.

During residency, he was given the unique opportunity of participating in medical missions including trips to Ghana and Bangladesh with SmileTrain. The trips involved treating both children and adults with cleft lips and palates. These trips gave him special appreciation for patients with aesthetic, functional and social issues. He has continued his dedication to medical care around the world with ongoing mission trips, most recently to Angouman, Haiti.

After completing his residency, he went on to complete a clinical fellowship in craniomaxillofacial surgery at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, Maryland with clinical privileges at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Agnihotri was able to treat many patients with congenital deformities resulting from syndromes or congenital malformations to restore facial balance and enhance aesthetics. He continues to have an academic presence, with an academic appointment at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Agnihotri is a board certified Cosmetic Facial Surgeon, and is a fellow of two prestigious surgical societies, the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Maxillofacial and aesthetic jaw reconstructive surgery as well as cosmetic facial surgery are particular passions of his. Dr. Agnihotri utilizes cutting-edge technology to plan your surgery and get the best possible outcome. This involves Virtual Surgical Planning using CT scans and custom cutting guides developed by specialized software. Often, patients are back to work within two weeks.

Dr. Agnihotri is very active and passionate about continuing his education with orthognathic and cosmetic facial surgery. Many times a year, Dr. Agnihotri will attend and even speak at local, regional and national lectures that bring together the best and the brightest surgeons from around the world. He believes it’s crucial to always be learning in order to provide the best care for his patients.

Outside of ACS, his personal interests include running and obstacle course races. He has a particular interest in ActiveRVA and has participated in multiple races including an Ironman, local triathlons and the Richmond Half and Full Marathons. He is always eager to have everyone in the office participate in local events as well – especially those that help make RVA a better place. However, his most favorite way to spend his time is with his wife and three children. The best part of his day is when he gets to take his children to school and spend that extra time with them.

  • Dr. Agnihotri is an executive council member of the Virginia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He serves on the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation, a group dedicated to promoting research and clinical training fellowships in cosmetic surgery.
  • Dr. Agnihotri is active in the community, coordinating care and providing free oral health screenings for people in the community and a number of outreach programs.
  • Dr. Agnihotri and his team are always excited to have visiting students eager to learn about full-scope maxillofacial & cosmetic facial surgery. We have hosted a number of high school, college and dental students who have shadowed and spent time learning about full-scope oral & maxillofacial surgery in our office. We are excited to offer a summer internship for interested students.

Meet the Team

Hello, I’m Katy! I am the Office Manager you’ll meet at our West End location. I am a born and raised Richmond-er hailing from Short Pump now residing in Mechanicsville with my husband and two children. I have been in the facial surgery field for 18 years and with Dr. Agnihotri since he started practicing, just 9 short years ago. I like to say I’ve helped shape him into who he is today. Outside of the practice, I love to vacation in the Outer Banks, N.C., fish and kayak with my friends and family.

It’s great to meet you, I’m Cindy! I have been with Dr. Agnihotri for 9 years and in the medical industry for 32! I do a little bit of everything at ACS, but you will mainly see me as your treatment coordinator. I work with Dr. Agnihotri and his assistants to schedule appointments and make sure we stay on track to reach your goals as efficiently as possible. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA but now reside in Caroline County where I enjoy beautiful views of Lake Caroline. You’ll usually find me kayaking on the lake or on the beach with a Vodka Sunset in my hand.

Welcome, I’m Alyse! I am the Marketing Director for the practice and am the one you can thank for all the ACS ‘swag’ around town. I am a Long Islander born and raised, and moved to Richmond from New York in 2015 where I happily ended up with the amazing crew at ACS. I have a Marketing degree from West Virginia University and love putting it to the test. Outside of the practice, I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and being active with my husband and our two dogs: Yellow Lab, Comet and Malinois, Degan.

Hey, I’m Kate! I am one of Dr. Agnihotri’s surgical assistants and really enjoy all aspects of my job. I’ve been in this field for about 2 years now and my favorite part of the day is helping to make patients feel and look their best. I am from Richmond and have lived here my whole life. I am also soon-to-be mother that loves music and hiking and most of all, pizza!

Hey There, I’m Lauren! I’ve been in the cosmetic dental field for the past 5 years, and know a lot about good patient care. I work side by side with Dr. Agnihotri supporting him as one of his assistants. I was born and raised in Richmond, and now reside with my husband and two dogs in Hanover. Outside of the office, you can catch me running and enjoying the best that Virginia has to offer – its wineries!

Hi, I’m Kim! I am one of the surgical assistant at ACS – learning all that I can from Dr. Agnihotri. I have been with the practice for 2 years and have had the opportunity to work with numerous doctors in the facial surgery field. I was born and raised right outside of RVA in Hanover, VA. I love it so much that I decided to plant my roots here with my fiancé and son. Outside of the office, you can catch me enjoying the outdoors, heading to the beach or spending time with family and friends.
